In support of our transition from Google to Microsoft 365 (M365), FIU will be launching two Microsoft tools within Canvas on Monday, August 1, 2022.
Microsoft Teams Meetings
Access and schedule Teams meetings for your class directly from Canvas using the Microsoft Teams’ desktop, mobile, or the web. Please note, this only makes a meeting and does not create a Teams for the class.
Microsoft Teams Classes
Create Microsoft Teams based on your course roster directly within Canvas. Once the team is created, instructors and students will be able to navigate to their associated class Teams directly from their Canvas courses or using Microsoft Teams desktop, mobile, or the web.
Microsoft Teams & Canvas – Training & Support
The Division of Information Technology is hosting training sessions throughout the summer and fall semesters to help get you familiar with M365 and the Canvas tools. Make sure to check the FIU calendar for dates and times.
