Integrating Microsoft 365 OneDrive and Canvas

FIU IT: Google to M365 Migration

FIU is currently in the process of migrating our users from Google to Microsoft 365 (M365). As part of the transition, FIU IT is hosting several training sessions to help get you familiar with M365 and its suite of applications such as, OneDrive, Mail, and Teams.

As an instructor,  you have access to 1.5 TB of OneDrive to migrate your Google Drive (GDrive) content to OneDrive. You will have until Oct. 1, 2022 to migrate your documents/files/folders from your GDrive to OneDrive. After October 1, 2022, you will not be able to access your GDrive.

What Do I Need to Do as an Instructor?

  1. Migrate Content from FIU Google Drive to your FIU OneDrive
  2. In Canvas, re-link any Google files shared using the new Microsoft OneDrive LTI
  3. Recreate any course copied Canvas Collaboration to now use Microsoft OneDrive
  4. Discover all your course options with Microsoft OneDrive and Canvas
