Online meeting with diverse group of people

FIU Online is expanding the possibilities of online learning with Online LIVE (Learning In Virtual Environments),  a fully online course format with synchronous virtual class meetings. Online LIVE courses leverage cutting-edge technologies and evidence-based pedagogies to foster increased student interaction and create authentic learning experiences. In the Online LIVE format, synchronous sessions are not intended to be lecture-based. Rather they are intended to promote interactive learning opportunities, allowing for personalized interactions with the professor.

The Online LIVE Instructor Certification Program supports faculty in the design, development, and delivery of a high-quality Online LIVE course. This is enabled by state-of-the-art technology, as well as synchronous virtual classroom meetings. Online LIVE course format represents a significant and intentional instructional strategy. Therefore, all instructors who wish to teach in the Online LIVE format must complete the certification program.
